No, I won't open my wings . . .

I took this picture this morning on my walk with Snowy. It took ages to get this close up, and I didn't succeed in getting a photo with its wings open.

I've had issues with that before, they will open their wings for a split second and snap them shut again

What a gorgeous butterfly. I learnt on our night walk in the Daintree (rainforest) that butterflies sleep with their wings closed 'in a triangle'. I havent even thought that they might sleep at all but I guess if they didnt they'd be moths too ;)
