I made the rag doll and bear for Jane when she was little. I don't know how I found the time. Also shown on this picture is one of her favourite books.
This little doll reminded me of a children's tv programme would it be that one with the dolls that came to life on the house boat ? Anyway she has a lovely face & is really pretty & expect she was well loved ! Rag dolls are so cuddly !
Ha, I remember her very well, I even remember waking up and finding her next to me in bed for the first time! But I don't think she ever had a name, or if she did I can't remember it, seems odd! Oh I WANT that book, I LOVE that book, I saw someone walk his dog who looked like the man out of Ant and Bee, really, he had the same hat on and everything! I even pointed him out to Paul who didn't have a glue what I was on about!
Love the way you positioned the doll ont he window sill. and the beautiful geraniums inside and out make a nice colorful spot..I always love some red in my pictures if I can manage it. oh yes your lawn and shrubs look so well tended..just beautiful.
P.S. I looked up this title on Amazon and you might be interested to know it is only available on the secondary market for prices ranging from $79.95 (used) to $338.01 (new) so take good care of that keepsake!
What a nice composition...would make a nice framed print for Jane ...and yes, how *did* you ever find time/energy to make the doll and the bear with little ones running around!!! Oh, that's right you were younger...lol!
