5 minutes after a Tulum Sunset

I have posted a number of beautiful Tulum sunrises, but no sunsets. Probably because during our week in Tulum, there was only one sunset that was worth capturing (of which I did get a few good shots, thank goodness).

Here is my first sunset from our June visit to Tulum (actually taken 5 minutes after sunset). When Veronica and I were in Tulum in December, the sunsets were magnificent every evening, but they were much more fleeting and subtle in June. This was the nicest of them all, and it is still very muted and pastel. Hope you all enjoy it anyway. If anyone wants to see vibrant Tulum sunsets, let me know and I will share some from our December visit.
Wow! Colors are Awesome! Love the simplicity of this with only a bit of the trees at the bottom! Excellent capture Danny :)

Beautiful colors. So, this means that sunrises are better than sunsets? maybe the geographical location of Tulum...

Beautiful Danny.

love the scant purple/blue patch of color in upper right corner - really sets the depth of beauty in the other colors- nice share

The pastel orange-pink hues and tones are incredible. Very dreamy, quite magical. Love this shot. 8)

@jgilker Thank you so much for the kind comments, Jessika!
@anazad511 Thanks, AnaZad. Tulum is on the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, facing the Caribbean Sea, so the sunrises are spectacular. In Decmber, so were the sunsets so I surmise it is part geographical, part time of the year.
@cdonohoue Thanks, Cathy!
@worthitall Thank you, Rashella - you have a good eye for subtle details!
@myautofocuslife Thanks so much, Livia!

Yes, I have been in Tulum, and definitely it's the geographical position. My son is getting married in Playa del Carmen in September, so I was thinking if I have to set the alarm for those sunrise shot opportunities... LOL

@anazad511 Congratulations! Definitely set your alarm clock when you are in Playa, the sunrises are absolutely worth getting up early for each morning!
