I had a nice stroll down Park Avenue to my son's office where we made our lunch plans for the day. This gave me two hours to explore Midtown on my own, so I headed south to Madison Square Park and the iconic Flatiron Building, which was the farthest south I ventured in Manhattan that day. The name "Flatiron" derives from its resemblance to a cast-iron clothes iron.
Best viewed large to see the architectural details.
Update: went to the doc, I have a very bad case of stomach flu. He gave me some meds and I am starting to feel a little better. Thanks so much for all your kind expressions of concern and well wishes. Bummer about missing the holiday but I would not be having a good time in Mexico as I can not eat solid foods or drink any alcohol and I just don't feel like myself.
Wonderful processing and perspective Danny!! I was watching Person of Interest on Thursday and caught a glimpse of this building. I think it is my favorite building in New York because of its unusual design!
Oh no! Can't drink any alcohol.... disasterous!! Seriously, I hope that your medication soon starts to make you feel better, this photo is another great example of your eye with architecture... great pov!
Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery! :)
Glad to hear your getting better. I keep hearing this year the flu strain is a doozy!
