Cadillac used the "goddess" hood ornament on their automobiles from 1933 until 1956. Also know as the "winged woman", this hood ornament was unique and ornate. It is shown here on a beautifully restored 1935 Cadillac two door coupe.
Best viewed large and taken with my prime lens.
This is the first of a series featuring hood ornaments captured with shallow dof.
Nice to see you back with another hood ornament :) I like the 3D feel and the nice soft focus of the car itself in the background. And I always like the history behind your photos as well
I know the goddess well, and have never seen her photographed this way. I love this unique head-on presentation with just a hint of the car in back. I am looking forward to seeing more.
Super focus, shot and bokeh. I've never seen one of these before either. I have an old Rolls by us that I photoed the hood ornament and grill of before. I should try again for more detail like this.
Wonderful shot and the bokeh just puts the cherry on top.
