While I was standing on the subway platform waiting on my train, I noticed these guys standing together on the opposite platform. Shot through the tracks. The NYC subway system was started in the 1880's and parts of it look ancient. Best viewed large.
We were amazed by the number of police on the subway system and they are also present on just about every corner of Manhattan. Must now be one of the safest cities in the world.

@gooner46@padlock NYC is very, very safe. But it was not always like that. Very dangerous city when I lived there in the 1960's and 1970's. Rudolph Giuliani cleaned it up.
