Thank you for the comments and favs that put Daisies in the 'hood (8/8) on PP. A poignant honor as I posted it on the day my late father would have been 85. My dad was my photography mentor and my inspiration for my lifelong interest in photography.
Now, on to my new series and it's going to be a long one. Classic automobiles! I've not done this in a while so I hope you are ready.
1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1. A brutally powerful pony car built at the height of the horsepower wars. Pre-emissions, pre-gas crisis, pre-safety. To convey its raw brutality, I converted this image to b&w and cross-processed it.
We had the same muscle car wars with locally manufactured vehicles here too around the same time, pre emissions, fuel crisis, and safety! Insanely powerful cars with drum brakes all round :)
Excellent shot, Danny. The beautiful daisy shot was a wonderful tribute to your dad. Congrats on the PP. My dad loved photography, too, and that is also how I got introduced to it.
Fav! Super image, I love your car shots Danny, you get something more than the 'sum of the parts' out of these images. I'm definitely on Recovery Road, thank you so much for your kindness, means a lot. 8/8 is a poignant day for us too. Tina's mother would have been 94 (she died in 2001, aged 80) My father died that day 30 years ago (he would now have been 100).
