Today's SOOC image was taken at the British Motorcar Day in Norcross, Georgia. It was a wonderful festival, filled with classic British cars, food, music, car enthusiasts and fun.
The MG TC was MG's first postwar sports car and the first MG imported into the U.S. It was advertised as the sports car that "America loved first". Archaic and out of date when it was introduced, but a lot of fun to drive on a two lane country road in pleasant weather.
Such a coincidence just finished watching a program on TV showing the restoration of one of thes: http://youtu.be/YZmOFLJzZzc?list=PLBKfErliSueO0bjirQJn5bYBmntDdyY_8
The episode is also on youtube as a full episode, but I get a "not available in your country" message, it may be available in your country. well worth a watch, they do travel over the states to see an owners club get together including a guy who bought one of the first post war cars, and still has it :)
Brilliant Danny - as soon as I saw the thumbnail I said to myself MG TC. It was an awful piece of engineering but an absolutely iconic 'sports' car. A bit like the Jaguar E-type: looked fabulous, was very quick... but you wouldn't want to drive one fast in anything other than a straight line!
