Sea oats

The predominant plants growing in Florida dunes are sea oats. They have an extensive horizontal root system which stabilizes the dunes and keeps them intact during storms. This is why it is illegal to disturb or pick them. In the background is the Sandestin Beach Club, a very classy establishment. Looks nice on black.
Very pretty. Love these sand dune photos! I love the grass in the foreground with the colorful club thrown in the background. Very interesting!
