Thanks for putting yesterday's "Grand Canyon" on PP. After hiking to Bright Angel Point, we headed to Point Imperial, which is the highest point on either rim (elevation 8803 feet). It's also the most northern vantage point in the entire national park. The views were spectacular. The sharp pinnacle in this image is Mount Hayden. Also visible are layers of red and black Precambrian rocks - Point Imperial is the only North Rim viewpoint where these can be seen.
