Monument Valley

After leaving Moab, we crossed back into Northern Arizona and entered the Navajo Nation Reservation and the world famous Monument Valley. If you have ever seen an old American Western film, then you will recognize this landscape. Monument Valley has been featured in hundreds of movies. Its spectacular display of red sandstone mesas, buttes and towers have defined for decades what moviegoers think of when they imagine the American West.
