Thanks for putting yesterday's "Monument Valley" on PP. Here are two of the most famous geological formations in North America - formally known as the East and West Mitten Buttes. They have been featured in hundreds of movies, including virtually every Western ever made. Processed in Agfa. We will be staying at Monument Valley for a comprehensive mini-series, first in color, then in mono.
Love this place.... My Dad won a photo contest with almost this exact shot (However, the sand was blowing all around with the wind), probably 65 years ago, at least. He knew some of the Goulding family, so we were there numerous times when I was a kid.... before the area became commercialized. FAV for nostalgia reasons for me......
