Monuments

From left to right, here are the names of these iconic monuments: Brigham's Tomb, The King and his Throne, Stagecoach, Bear and Rabbit, Castle Rock and East Mitten. Tomorrow we will start the Monument Valley black and white mini series. The images of this amazing place appeared in mono in hundreds of western films.

@pusspup @redy4et Thanks. I was fortunate to have been there on a day with a pretty clouds. Unlike some photographers I know, I refuse to insert clouds into my images. This was the actual sky. I appreciate your support of my work!

It is amazing that they resemble ancient ruins...which in a way I guess they are. We are hoping to go to Jackson Hole, Tetons and Yellowstone in late August...but I guess this is too far to include in a short trip. We spend time in Arizona in the winter and have seen many of the areas you have shown, but have never been to Monument Valley. On my list...especially after seeing your wonderful images and commentaries.
