Vorticism by spanner

Vorticism

Inspired by Alvin Langdon Coburn's portrait of Ezra Pound in 1917. Another attempt at something different.
My get pushed challenge set by @bernicrumb was look for an indoor photo opportunity this week and to do something fun with it, whether in set up, situation, or post processing
Freaky... I love it (and i bet you do too :-) FAV

@longexposure thanks James. I am not too happy with it but then it isn't the most flattering of techniques. Good luck with your camera research.

Interesting... is Ezra Pound that poet defending fachism during the war, who's been photographed by HCB at the end of his life in the 70's ? I didn't know Coburn's pictures. i'll go and have a look on the internet !
March 22nd, 2014
@exouistitis I do believe it is. Please note it is the image I am interested in and not the politics.

@spanner Of course ! in fact I don't know much about that Pound, I just remember seeing Cartier Bresson's picture just before the man died, and as I found the image of the old man interesting I read about his biography... Here in France there is a famous exhibition of Cartier Bresson's photos at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, until June 9th, and the media talk a lot about the fabulous career of this photographer... is he also well known in New Zealand ?
March 22nd, 2014
@exouistitis yes he is very well known to photographers here in NZ (as far as I am aware).
