Statues

A couple of year ago I bought a Holga 135BC hoping to get into photography. It tuned out to be very expensive developing the films so I stopped. However the bug never left and eventually I have now invested thousands of hard earned dollars to fuel my habit. This is a shot from the first roll of film put through that camera. I have always liked the mood and softness of the shot. For the film February theme.
Excellent

tag all film with film-lives too - if you want that is, it's what i use to search

Wow, this is amazing

Cool find. Is the vignette a natural byproduct of the lens, added in post? Either way it works.

I wish I knew exactly what I am looking at... but it's very compelling nevertheless!

@ceilidh Thank you.

@dtigani Thank you. The vignette is caused by a small filter inside the camera. The BC in the title stands for black corners. The whole camera including the lens is plastic. This is sooc (well scanned).

Very cool! Holga makes lenses for Canon & Nikon DSLRs! Cheap! Check out Amazon. I bought a Pinhole & a plastic lens 60mm, both Holgas, for around $25 each.

@jrambo001 thanks John. I have seen those lenses but I have spent so much on this hobby I cannot justify spending more. I have the plastic optic on my Lensbaby but have hardly used it. I have to use what I have got before spending more.

so glad to see that they are statues and not neighbours - very weird but wonderful

Made me laugh seeing this girl mimic the statue. Nice moment to document.
