@longexposure No - I have sent it back. The viewfinder is just not clear enough. It was misrepresented online. I was keen to try a rangefinder. Not interested now. I was looking at one of the Pentax cameras. I don't think I am strong enough to lift one. How are you enjoying yours?
With the rangefinders I'm sure if you bought a Leica it would be like using a Rolex, but with these cheap Japanese made cameras they're always gonna be plasticy and cheap. I find the electro not the best to look through.
The 67 is quite amazing to be honest, I can tell even by the negatives how much sharper they are than the Yashica. I think you should stop being soft and buy a 67.. The kids can lug it around for you ;-)
@longexposure And thats the thing - I chose film because I like it being imperfect - blur, vignetting scratches dust etc. I did not want to add these effects in post. The Bronica is so sharp it is alarming. I am almost tempted by a Holga but fear it may be too random. No more money being spent on equipment..........today anyway.
@spanner I do understand what you mean about the imperfections, I guess the difference between the yashica and the Pentax is 40 odd years. I still think a sharp film shot looks amazing, I too like the look of dust vignetting etc, but it seem my Yashica is quite unreliable in it's results. I think I will use the Yashica for more street style photos and the pentax for "on a tripod" landscape, photo's of friends type shots
@longexposure I agree - the Yashica is more suited for street shots, the Bronica is cracking for indoor photography - much more control. What is this Tripod thing you talk of? I thought it was all biceps and upper body strength.
@spanner Hehe... I guess having the Yashica for 6 months or so and taking it on holiday, I'm a little annoyed when I develop a roll and scan to have mediocre result either because of the over lap in exposures or the exposure is way off..
