First of all I'd like to say a massive thanks to the response to yesterday's album cover challenge shot - it's way out of my normal comfort zone but I had masses of fun doing it - I'd better get going on the CD to accompany it LOL!
Had a great day, came across to my sister's and met up with my Dad - had a nice family day - watched the Jubilee celebrations on the TV. Fair play to all those who braved the weather - we've had some rain these last few months but it really did come down thick and fast during the afternoon! Drank lots of Pimms and ate lots of Jubilee style cakes. Bought these fancies - remember them as a kid in their normal pastel colours - thought they were funky in the Union Jack colours! Only photo I took today as it was so miserable out and we got sucked into the apprentice after tea! Hoping the weather clears a little tomorrow for our tea party! Hope everyone had a fabulous day.
@shutterbugger she needed more than a raincoat - she looked so cold after standing in the dreariness for 2 hours - I was hoping she had a heated corset on underneath her dress!
Those look so cute and delicious. of course, when I see these colors, I think USA. I am now thinking it interesting that the colonists/early Americans stuck with the "home country's" flag color scheme. You'd think they'd have ventured out with some purple and orange. haha I think red, white, and blue are the best though! They probably did too.
I've been wondering about them too, having remembered them from being a child, but I'm not so sure the reality will be quite as good.
