Been a mixed day weather-wise either brilliant sunshine or absolute buckets of rain! Chatted to my Mum on the phone earlier and she was shocked to hear that my plan for the weekend (and in fact the next 2 weeks) is to glue myself to the sofa and watch as many games as possible on tv...by midday I'd already watched judo, volleyball, archery and womens synchro diving!! Having the time of my life - love it! I did break off at lunchtime to mow the grass and cut back the brambles and then took off again this afternoon for a 4 mile run which I did in 35 minutes in the pouring rain...my best time for ages!
was it the rain or the incentive to get home that made you so quick? This morning was nice, good conditions for walking / running. That's a lovely boat hot there, love the tones and reflections
I wonder what the spelling "Wey of Life" means? Is this a flooded road or a canal? We had tremendous downpours yesterday - some places got 3-5 inches in 30 minutes! All the streets were flooded. We had a beautiful sunny day until the skies opened up and then had a steady rain all through the night - a good soaking rain, which we needed. You're really into the Olympic games aren't you - must be exciting to be living right among it!
ahhh this is lovely, such a relaxing feel. i think we will all be glued to the olympics over the next few weeks. we have only been back from london a few hours and have already watched beach volleyball and are waiting for the swimming..x
@sparkleplenty1 There are 3 River Wey's in the UK (Surrey, Dorset and a canal in the South) so it may be reference to that! Yep, I'm bonkers about the Olympics can't get enough of it!!
The rain obviously agrees with you and your running. Well done. I'm loving the olympics as well. I've got a week off work and am intending to sit in front of the box a lot. btw Nice photo
We have watched loads of the Olympics too ...sports I have never watched before such as archery, volley ball etc etc loving it !! Just taken the dog down by the river to take a few photos & get some exercise & now back to watch swimming !!! Lovely peaceful life with the dog on board too, they aren't glued to the telly!!!
What a gorgeous shot - this is the life ;)! We were on holidays the last few days and used the time to watch a bit of Olympia, too, as we don't have a TV at home. We were lucky enough to catch gymnastics and I loved it, too!
Love the relaxed shot, the dog looks very happy :) I haven't really been excited about the olympics this summer, but I watched the opening ceremony and was really moved, in the last couple of days I've watched mens gymnastics, swimming, clay pigeon shooting, cycling, I'm loving it!
THis is a delightful looking river to cruise down. Great capture. I'm with you. The sofa and TV is the best place to spent time with games going on. Enjoy.
Sounds like your day was perfect for you. I love days like that.
For the people in the boat, I hope their day was as perfect as it looks.
Lovely happy picture.
oh Juliette, I am with you......wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow so that I could watch! i could watch any and all of the events:)
I also wouldn't mind spending some time on that boat!
I'm loving the Olympics too although havent been able to see much of NZs participation thanks to ESPN and StarSports coverage....not even our gold medals. You are very lucky to be in amongst it all.

Nice shot - nothing more peaceful that messing about on the river.
Down to nipping out & cutting the grass before the swimming finals started ((;
