A filler taken on yesterday's boat trip - it was a kind of poignant moment going under the Olympic rings on Tower Bridge - I'm guessing from tomorrow the work will start to take these down and replace them with the ParalympicLogo. So we wave farewell to the Games and return to some semblance of normality, just the closing ceremony to go!
I was going to head into town again this morning to watch the men's marathon, however I was still knackered from yesterday's frivolities so opted to stay home and watch on the TV. Took off to the pool for a mile swim having decided that it's about time I started my training for my half marathon in October and the diet starts too - big shop this afternoon to make sure I stick to it!
Thanks for all your recent comments and faves, normal commenting should hopefull resume next week!

Hi I just saw your challenge to me - sounds like a fun thing to learn. I will study a little about it and try it. I just got home, gone all day and I will look at your photos and hopefully give you a challenge that will push you that will be fun. I will look into it.
This will be fun!! So glad we were paired up this week!
First of all you are an outstanding photographer!!! Wow, I am really excited to get paired up with you this week! I hope you like my challenge to you.
I want you to do a "special effects" shot. I'm thinking one of two choices.
1) oil & water art shot (I did this recently and I didn't have special equipment. I had to rig it up using broom stick handles to hold up the water, then put my fancy paper under it. I had to use a flash light for a light source on the decorative paper.
OR your other choice - completely different -
2) Light art - you do this with writing or designs with a light source - using the bulb setting on your camera. I don't have a remote so I put it on the bulb setting and put it on the 10 second timer once it went off I held the button down till it was done. I ended up having someone else do the deign.
Perhaps you have better equipment. I didn't review your entire portfolio only present until May and then some of your extra folders and didn't see this in your recent photos
Please let me know is this ok? Choose which ever one above you haven't done or it's been a long time since you did it, or whichever you have the most interest.
@myhrhelper wow - thanks Kathy, I don't have much kit either and the second challenge especially I have been putting off doing, but now there's no excuse!! thinking cap on!! nice one!
