Had a day of feeling exhausted, think yesterday's travelling drained me! Nobody else from the team was in so I squirrelled myself away and worked through to this afternoon's meetings. Headed into Westminster Cathedral after work to see if there were any photo opportunities. Only had my 50mm with me so limited to detail shots. Managed to get this before I was moved on by a curator for being in the "worng part of the church"! Made my way home, contrary to yesterday, catching the fast train without having to wait hours or run for it!! Was going to go for a run but way too tired so opted for a nice meal and laze on the sofa in front of the TV.
How can you be in the "wrong part of the church" when you're with the votive candles .... most odd ... I love the shot and have often taken similar pictures.
@peterdegraaff I didn't last night Peter as I was "moved on" - however I always put a bit in the proceeds box and give a few minutes silent thought to those I've loved and lost...I'm not religious in any sense, but do enjoy the peace and sounds of a cathedral. There was some lovely choral practise going on last night which sent tingles down my spine!
@sparkle I liked going into the cathedrals in South America. They were full of life and people, and very few tourists. Must have been nice to hear the chorale
And I agree about the feeling of peace.
Just be sure you don't 'burn yourself out'
