Relatively ordinary day, managed to get out at lunchtime with a colleague for a wander around Pimlico and Victoria, nice to see some sunshine! Left work early and met up with Isla, Andy and Rich for a mooch round the Photographer's Gallery off Oxford Street. We then took to the bustling streets to try and capture the hoards of people going about their business. Walked up to Kings Cross for some grub at the Parcel Yard and then home! This shot taken on Oxford Street - a passer-by wanted to take a picture of Isla and I huddled over the bin trying to steady our cameras as the light started to die! There was one of those Street Photography Now challenges (on the original Flickr group) that was 'Capture a moment of stillness in all the mayhem' or something similar - I kept trying to create something like this for it - this would have been perfect. Love the disembodied feet!
I sat in our bus shelter today trying to do this type of shot!!!! No luck but have checked your Exif so I might lean from you Juliette!!! Excellent photo! Fave.
@fueast it appears that all you need a big set of headphones adn an iphone. His bag was bright turquoise...it may have been a magic bag....who knows. But he stood here for a good few minutes!!
every time you do a monochrome shot juliette they are excellent. You should use the genre more often. I love the hustle and bustle of the blurred movement. A superb street shot ...a well deserved PP :)
This is wonderful. I feel so envious of you folk in London, what opportunities you have. But then I live in the most glorious countryside. After a very short time I have become a very big fan of your photography.
This is SO artistic, Juliette! I have no idea how you did it, but I love it. It was an instant fave for me. The one still man in the midst of all that motion and then the ghostly appearance of other - perfect!
Excellent - And good to see you and @Rich57 on the homepage at the same time with shots from the day... @boxplayer and me were probably bringing up the rear somewhere :-)
