Putting aside the arduos 5 plus hour drive to the West of Wales, had an exceptional day out. Weather forecast was for rain...so decided to take a low level coastal walk which we could escape from if necessary. Drove out across Angelsey to Holyhead Island and went for a walk out to South Stacks Lighthouse. It was an amazing afternoon, perfect blue skies and the sea was as calm as anything and a perfect turquoise. This shot taken on the way back home through Bangor - loved the height and grandeur of this bridge.
Today's main shot of the South Stack lighthouse in Holyhead http://365project.org/sparkle/365/2012-04-23 alternative shot is of the bay we came to before going to the lighthouse http://365project.org/sparkle/alternative-365/2012-04-23
I know that bridge, but what a great capture of it! I spend two vacations in Wales, one on Lynn Peninsula and one near Snowdonia. It's such a wonderful landscape!
