Peter H. Reynolds is a well-known children's author who travels all over the world as a speaker. Several years ago, he visited our school. When I was walking through the Public Gardens on Sunday, I saw that he had left a sign in front of the the yet to bloom tulips. His words are so true. We can all add more light to this world.
Thanks Dixie! I thought that you, MaryBeth, and Allison might be familiar with Peter Reynolds. I went back into Boston yesterday since Boylston St - the site of the bombings, had been closed for 10 days but was now open. The mayor asked people to come in and support the restaurants and businesses now that so many are open again. It was wonderful to see the streets packed with people, all wanting to support the city. Still very heartbreaking to see all the memorials and the tributes at the sites of the two bombings. I know we'll recover someday - with the spirit of Boston that I saw yesterday and since this tragedy occurred. Everyone has rallied around, and the outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming.
