Alpini

The Alpini are the mountain troops of the Italian Army, and they are a specialty of the ground troops specialized in the war on the mountainous terrain.
Formed on October 15th, 1872, the Alpini are the oldest infantry mountain corps active in the world, originally created to protect the northern Italy neighbouring with France, Austria and Switzerland.
The Alpini organize national and local gatherings in order to keep alive and to pass on the traditions, illustrate the glories and the feats.
