Starry Squam

I'm posting three star shots from last night. This one was at 6400 ISO for a full minute (hence the stars being mini trails).

This one was a half-hour exposure at 200 ISO http://365project.org/squamloon/squam/2013-05-07 ,

and this is my first stacked image of 30-second exposures:
http://365project.org/squamloon/themes-and-chal/2013-05-07 .

I forgot to mention that this was for the Get Pushed challenge. @rachelwithey challenged me to keep my shutter open for more than one second.
Gorgeous. Looks so peaceful. Where is it?

Beautiful night sky and silhouettes. I'm glad you included the links to your other sky shots. They are all very interesting and well captured!

That's a perfect spot for star trail photos, you've got a nice framing for the sky and the reflective surface of the lake. I'm so envious of you, I think I need to visit you there. :D

@plasticpilchard Squam Lake, New Hampshire, USA. If you're familiar with the film "On Golden Pond", it was filmed next door.
@nanalisarocks @winemonologues @danette Thank you!
@bankmann Oh, there'll be more. :^)
@elizabeth264 New England. We're pretty lucky. :^)
@moreyoulessme Thank you! I was a little worried about that light, but I guess it worked out okay.
@rvwalker Thank you! It's a frame etched in my brain... I'll have to remember to elaborate on that sometime. Short version: my grandfather bought this house in the 1930s. He painted this scene (in daytime) when I was a baby. I had the painting in my bedroom. I'm going to try to maintain a series of these in my Squam album.

@pflaume Thank you Lisa! I updated the descriptions a bit this morning (and corrected some erroneous information. I was in a bit of a hurry uploading last night.)
@taz_o Thank you!
@joa Just let me know! I may have to lay a little ground work with my wife.... :^)

@squamloon Hahah, is your wife jealous of the landscape? :D

@rachelwithey These three star shots were my push phtotos. I'd planned to try some one-second daylight photos, but as I said, the week got away from me and I was doing the bare minimum, 365-wise. Your push is what got me out to try the star photos, though, so thank you!
