Merry Meredith Bay

See, I'v actually been taking photos. They've just been sitting in my camera for weeks.

Thanks for your patience, friends. I'm definitely excited at the prospect of getting caught up. In the new year I'm going to find a way to do 365 differently, so that I can find some balance.

:^)
Balance....often seems like that brass ring! Lovely shot.

Very nice scene. I like the positioning of the tree. I don't know how you unretired folks can keep up, and I wish you good luck.

@rvwalker wait, your retired? :) Jim, this is great! I love the tree at the end of a pier! Next year, I'm not sure I'm going to post every day. I am more interested in learning how to use my processing gear that I have but really don't know what I'm doing. I may just take a break before starting in again. I did go to Shutterfly today and I made a calendar to give out at Christmas to my family. Trying to find my photos and putting them in the proper places has been a mess. I need a new system. When I got LR, I ended up abandoning my process and it's now a huge mess. So year two, declutter. Focus. And skip some days! :)

@darylo LOL. Yep, for 14 years. I got lucky. FYI, I keep track of images through a simple database that I started for slides on a DOS PC in the 80's. It still works today for digital images.

great shot. I'm guessing you used a tripod but did you also use a remote shutter? Went out for my first night shoot the other day. Thank goodness for the tripod. Didn't have my remote shutter with me though. I think it would have allowed me to go into bulb mode and manually open and close the shutter - thus allowing over 30 second exposure.

@jenn_kantz Thanks! Yep, I probably used my remote control. Love the night shots, but they take a lot of patience. Your Fuji shot's a great beginning! Hope you'll keep going for it.
