At the end of the road

This truck Broke down and was abandoned alongside the road many years ago 100's of km from any repair shop ...it now decays slowly in the hot desert sun.

@wordpixman Surprisingly Arthur... there is still quite a bit of the motor in there under the hood even the spark plugs are still in place.

@sparkleplenty1 In SA yes Joyce this tuck wouldn't have stood unattended long enough for the engine to cool, let alone rust ..in Namibia this truck is in a very isolated part of the desert .

Mmm, a rust bucket of note! Would make for a very nice painting....

What an interesting find and what a fabulous capture of this isolated scene. This is what I call the perfect "book jacket cover"....for a Stephen King type book, perhaps. Don't mind me, I'm always thinking out of the box Fav for sure!

@cimes1 I agree Carol this could have a great story attached to it.

as ominous as the truck's fate looks, the sky's colour is amazing as it contrasts with the rough texture and rusty colours of the ground and the truck. indeed, the photo tells a lot of stories. great shot, howard.

What a fabulous view, the colours fit so perfectly with their surrounding, what an excellent idea from Carole, maybe you could right the story to go with the picture
