Standing Rock, North Dakota Pipeline Protest Camp

Hi everyone... I've been out of touch as I've been at the Standing Rock camp pipleine protest in North Dakota, USA... and I have no cell reception or Wifi. Am taking a lot of pictures to document this process for the legal teams here helping the Sioux. This is just a cell phone picture of part of the camp from the hill. Will re-connect when I go back home. Water is Life!!!
I look forward to seeing more of your photos of this.

@annepann I'm limited where I am, and am working to be respectful of the rules for photographers. However, I've taken quite a few photos at the front line which are allowed, and which I will share in a few days. There is such peaceful power here.

@888rachel Check it out on line... Big oil companies are building a pipeline through the lands of the Sioux and Lacota. They are protesting the pipeline and have thousands of people camped out there holding the line peacefully while the government pellets them with rubber bullets, mace, pepper gas, etc. Rough day today but everyone is well, and no arrests. The words of the people are 'Water is Life'. Too much of our lands have been polluted with spillage from these pipelines, and the Sioux nation doesn't want to loose there lands and river as well.

Looking forward to more of your updates. Have been following the news on this and the change of routing so that it went through their land. All this at a time when we should be trying to wean ourselves away from oil. Hope it is able to stay peaceful.

I am following this protest and am really looking forward to your shots. I hope and pray that alternatives can be found- destruction and theft must not be allowed.

Good on you! This is a hot topic in new zealand, amongst the Maori community in particular. I hope it has a successful and peaceful outcome. Take care.

Well done you! This is an atrocity against the indigenous American people. Many of us in the UK are supporting them. I will forward to seeing your images!
