Get pushed challenge - take a picture of an object using my macro lens
I used this challenge to explore the distances that I at which I could use the f2.8 setting to see how this would impact on focus. It was an interesting experiment. My basic findings are the nearer I am to the object to the object, the less there is in focus. The further the away, the more in focus.
Hi @zosimasy sorry I should have explained in more detail, just so pushed for time at the moment - I took all these shots at f2.8... The idea behind it was to try and figure out at what point I got the most detail in focus in the picture whilst using this f stop - the further away being the best. You are right in that a macro lens does show great detail close up but you have to really ramp up the f stops - to get good picture. This link to a previous picture of mine may clarify what I am trying to say - http://365project.org/stephanies/365/2015-09-03
I have edited the comment above to make it clearer too - how did you get on with challenge I set you?
