Get pushed challenge - recreate a famous painting in a photograph

Well now..... I looked at all the really famous artists - Van Gogh, Monet, Turner etc.... and there was nothing much there that I could recreate - not enough flowers around and no one will pose for me to do any portraiture, so I looked at "fame" in a narrower sense of the word and found this artist - Sonali Kukreja. She hasn't done masses of work and she isn't famous famous, but I like what she has done, particularly the piece I have tried to recreate above. I apologise in advance for the bad editing.... trust me I have no idea what I was doing........and that handle.....grrr.... I don't have a steady hand and just can't get it any straighter than that...I know it is wonky :( Anyway, this was fun, it was interesting looking at other artists work, just wish I had more time and knowledge to do this picture more justice.

I think it's perfect! A wonderful push and a wonderful response to it. Beautiful glowing red, great rust on the handle, and of course the classic daisies.

I think that's great editing. The colours really stand out. I guess I'll have to try more 'highbrow' photos now - instead of Totem poles, bottles of beer and yawning cats!!!

Thanks @billygreen I love your yawning cat picture anyway! Have a go at the get-pushed challenegs maybe? They take you out of your comfort zone, I never would have done this otherwise.
