Get pushed - take a photo using a homemade light box
I don't know if this fulfils the challenge or not really as I ended up heavily editing this picture to add detail and colour. I used the greaseproof paper as a backdrop but it ended up having a blue tinge to it which I didn't like. The WB was set to cloudy and I overexposed quite a lot - maybe that had something to do with it too....
I ran the raw file through the different WB options and one of them, can't remember which one, made it whiter but there were still patches of blue on one side, hence all the editing.
Interesting experiment although I am not all that happy with the result. I can still see little patches here and there that could be edited out but I have run out of time with it... I will have another go either tomorrow or Friday with a different subject and see if I can improve on this.
Thank you Wendy for your kind words. I don't know if I am being too hard on myself or not, but the more I look at this picture, the more I don't like it. :( It just looks "over"-edited... @farmreporter
Sorry you are not happy with it - I quite like it. The ridges on the petals give great texture. I never mess with WB, so I'm no help there. When I did this technique I overexposed quite a bit and it gave a nice effect (I thought!). This certainly meets the challenge though! You are allowed to edit it afterwards :) Don't feel you have to struggle with it if you've had enough though - but I'd be interested to see what else you can create :)
we want to eat , your challenge is impressive congratulations , you're a very creative and talented photographer
