@suez1e challenged me this week to "a flat lay photo which shows a hobby of yours". Today I decided to bake some carrot cake muffins using carrots from my garden. They cooked into a very nice puree.
After some looking around I realized that my new kitchen floor could be a nice background for the image. I also tried a shot up on the counter and stove for a more busy looking picture. I posted that one on the 18th. I'm not sure which way is more interesting.
Your floor is beautiful Id love to see a wider shot of it - I could imagine this image in a Martha Stewart type magazine its really lovely with all the textures and colors so beautifully laid out
A good response to flat lay. My personal feedback is that I would like to see a little more space around the tray but then photography is such a personal preference. I have been known to stand on the bench to get a flat lay photo!!

Now this. This is a beautifully executed flatlay. Clean, completely flat, well framed, and carefully placed "squared up" to the lines on the floor. Nicely done! Now where's a photo of the cake ? I do love carrot cake!
