I have Alexis with me until Saturday afternoon, before I head off with work on Sunday to the Middle East for 3 weeks.
It will be a great trip for photos and some nice weather, and a steady stint working on the start of the European Tour Golf for 2014. But 3 weeks away from her will eventually take it's toll and i'll miss her. It will be the longest I have been away from her. Even though I am used to not living with her, the longest i've been away from her is 2 weeks.
I picked her up from school and took her to her swimming lesson so she needed a good hair wash last night. Given how much lovely hair she has it's a bit of a job but I really like doing it.
I must learn soon how to put her hair in proper (and neat) plaits. I tried to bring out the colour in her hair but due to the shadow in the bath it didn't quite work but I still think you can see how nice her hair is.
She does have gorgeous hair. She is like my eldest, she has the longest, thickest dark mass of wavy hair and it is a nightmare to brush and get the knots out. Have a great trip, I am looking forward to seeing your photos.

It couldn't be nicer, Steve! I know how proud you are of her and how she trusts you! You can see it in her face! I'm sure she brushes her hair all the time for it to be like this!
A crowning glory Steve...I can see how difficult it would be to deal with though but worth the effort! Have a successful time in the Middle East & perhaps a chance for some good photos if you have the time.
Steve! She is absolutely beautiful! I understand what you mean being apart from her. My daughter has been in Afghanistan since August and will not return until May. If it wasn't for skype, I don't know how I could make it without seeing her face. She is 25 now, so It never really gets better! Lol I will look forward to seeing more pictures of her and your trip!
She is adorable and I could kill to have a perfect hair liek this. The color i so special and has warm tones. I really like the angle you chose and the look in her eyes... so committed to the shot..lol She is lovely.

If only she did brush it all the time :) She loves her hair but is still in that phase where it annoys her greatly to have it washed and dried properly!

@deniseescovino Thank you Denise. She is becoming much more at ease when I take pictures and when I told her what I was trying to achieve in seeing her lovely hair she understood straight away, hence her controlled expression :)
