This is the end of the first full day in Abu Dhabi, just outside our hotel. Because of the atmosphere here, the sun goes down every evening and goes very very pink. It's something could look at every night. You also see the edge of it clearly too because the light doesn't travel through the atmosphere like it does in other part of the world. It also means that very quickly, the sun goes down and rather than have a lasting light it just turns to night.
How wonderful to travel the world taking photos for a living! My youngest son has been to Abu Dhabi twice on a combined universities winter cricket tour.... Very envious, great silhouettes and love that pink colour ......
