I was at work in base yesterday prepping camera kit for the Finish section of this year's Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race. It may not look like much but the pile of boxes in the picture took hours to get ready. So there was absolutely no time for a proper photo...just a chance to document the day.
I had no idea! I'd have predicted you pros would be taking a really long lens or two, a laptop and, er, some sandwiches to something like that. Come to think about it, maybe I'm right and you're just bringing a lot of sandwiches. Whatever, enjoy the day.
Fab lucky you! (er not the manual stuff the on the day stuff!) Where's the best view point without drunken revellers? Might have to pop down with kids and camera of course!
Blimey Steve, a few bobs worth there!! I have often wondered how long it takes you to get prepped for an event. You don't just turn up and find someone has done it for you then?
@helenmichelled Helen, I haven't ever been down there before this year, and only ever seen it on the telly so I am not sure of the best place to watch it.
@helenmichelled I'm thinking somewhere near houses might be good, and away from any pubs on the river. I am not sure there are that many anyway. I think there are screens in Bishops Park and Furnivall Gardens adjacent to the river if that's a good option :)
