This is a shot taken from inside the Channel 4 TV studio where I was based during the first part of the Reinterment of Richard 3rd in Leicester last week. The art work on the left is part of the TV set, and the 2 horseman outside are dressed in period gear, and were part of the procession of the coffin through Leicester city on it's way to the Cathedral.
3 good things:
1 - A nice smooth programme despite the size and technical challenges we faced
2 - Watching the events unfold and being part of such an historic occasion
3 - Getting to see the coffin laying in repose at the end of the day when no members of the public were allowed into the Cathedral
Lucky you Steve....I saw the first part when the went to the fields but missed Thursday's programme as I was coming back from my holiday. You were very fortunate to get such a great view. So many good things of being a TV cameraman!
@happypat Thank you...and yes I am very thankful for some of these opportunities. I am working on the Boat Race and the Marathon again this month and also one of the election debates (16th I think!) so I get to see some very cool things!
