This is Piccadilly Circus in London, early one morning recently on my way to work, taken just before going underground for a train.
I've seen shots like this before and wondered how the photographers manage to get the colours of the advertising screens as well as the surrounding areas given the difference in dynamic range. The shot I took here is an example of how a RAW file contains data and detail that you can bring out later. I would like to go back one day and try some long exposures to try and capture light trails in the foreground as well as the screens and the surrounding environment.
3 good things:
1 - Getting all camera kit ready for this year's Carols at King's programme
2 - Realising it was my last day working in base, prepping camera gear for 2015
3 - Mulled wine in a Kensington pub with my camera department colleagues that evening
Most of the time :)
