Day 018, Year 4 - Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi

Best viewed large, on black if you have time :)

So I finally got to visit the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi this afternoon after an early finish on site, and I am really glad I got to see it. I have tried the last two years of coming to the UAE but didn't get the opportunity.

It's very new building, and is modern and clean and in the desert sun it looks very nice indeed. I could spend a few days taking pictures of this.

3 good things:

1 - Getting up early to go for a run along the Corniche in Abu Dhabi despite getting very little sleep after the flight yesterday
2 - Early finish on site getting started for this week's golf coverage in Abu Dhabi
3 - Lebanese food for dinner after the visit to the Grand Mosque
