Day 197, Year 4 - A Break In The Clouds Over Troon

This was taken at the end of the second day's play of the Open at Troon, which was a complete contrast weather-wise to the day before. The rain and wind came down hard on us and it was pretty brutal.

At the end of the day my colleagues and I went round all the cameras on the towers to dry off wet lenses and make sure they weren't in a bad way to avoid any steaming up the following day if the sun came out again. This was shot while in the golf buggy on the way to the first tower, as the dark clouds gently let in a little light.

It was quite a surreal sight, and at that point the rain had relented, and the warm Atlantic air was blowing gently across the course. We were only out for about an hour in total and despite the job itself being a bit tedious it was still very enjoyable. It helped that there were a bunch of us all cracking on to get the job done.

3 good things:

1 - The moment the rain stopped, and the warm air blew gently over Troon
2 - Very lovely catering at work
3 - Finally finishing and getting back to the hotel after a 16 hour day
Nice!
