Day 345, Year 4 - Quiet Time In The Chapel

Taken during a supper break for the crew, choir and the readers, I grabbed a few frames of the inside of the Chapel, but with my tripod so I could use my lowest possible ISO on my Fuji of 200, and close down the iris too to get a little bit more sharpness in the shot.

I have taken this shot before but I really love this building at night with the candlelight so couldn't help but take a few more frames of it. Very few people get to take proper photographs inside this building and almost never with a tripod so I thought I would take advantage of it :)

Another shot of the chapel can be seen here:

3 good things:

1 - A later start to the day's work this morning
2 - A quick conversation with Alexis this afternoon on the phone
3 - A lovely italian dinner with colleagues after work
Brilliant lighting and reflection on the floor, great low tones and low POV. I feel like I'm sitting in the chapel.

@taffy Thank you :)
Hopefully this one will give you the feeling of being there too...hopefully your monitor or laptop has a good screen size :) http://365project.org/stevecameras/365-almost/2016-12-10

This is great, Steve. As you say, you're lucky to be in there with a camera. Like the link that you posted too.

Wonderful, I can imagine how special it must feel being there when it is this quiet.

Lucky you! I was one of the unlucky ones who had their tripod confiscated earlier this year! Looks wonderful with the organ refurbished. I'll never forget listening to Bach's B Minor Mass from one of the seats on the right.

And never empty - I've actually contemplated being a volunteer cleaner in here just for the photo ops!

@judithg I'm sure they'd appreciate the help but they'd notice that not a lot was being done :)
