Day 365, Year 4 - Scallop Sculpture, Aldeburgh

This is Aldeburgh in Suffolk and the scallop/shell sculpture in which the words "I hear those voices that will not be drowned" are pierced. It's a controversial piece of art but I like it.

The fog in the background that day was pretty thick and the bright sun that was up there somewhere was being covered. But at odd moments there was a gap or two showing and I managed to capture it here in the top right of frame.

3 good things:

1 - A lovely breakfast with my friends in the cottage that morning
2 - Lovely walk along Aldeburgh beach to Thorpeness, where we had coffee and a sausage roll
3 - Nice to chill at home that evening with my folks
neat sculpture. really like the fog covering most of the picture

I would've thought they might appreciate the increased tourism and look into the possibility of installing a series of such intriguing pieces. Nice mood anyway. :-)

This has atmosphere and drama. I like it very much. People are so conservative when it comes to anything unusual in their environment. I think it enriches.

Beautiful sculpture and I like the way you have captured. I think the mist adds greatly to the beauty of the photo. Awesome.
