@metzpah I use a Sigma 150-600 for all my wildlife shots. It's a good all round lens but is noisy and sometimes slow to focus in low light. Pretty good for the price though.
A man after my own heart, I will follow with interest. I like shooting (wrong word) wildlife as well. Love this shot as it's different. Good depth of field for a beats of a lens. I am guessing the shutter speed was fast as well. Hand held? Iso high?
@spud This was through the back window and using a tripod. It's handy in the house as I leave the camera facing the feeders all day. When I'm out though, it's mainly hand held for speed and mobility. It's a heavy old beast to hand hold though so high shutter speed to cancel out the shakes.
