multi-use pathway

This is one of the places i go for outdoor walks.
It is located in the suburbs, and adjacent to a busy street, traffic noise is present which got me to thinking about how we all drown out external noise.
I often wonder what it would be like to live in the country. A rural area where modern conveniences are not so easily obtained.
