tree in the city

i came upon an interesting tree growing on private city property. thought it to be quite appealing to notice the greenery at the base of the tree instead of on the branches. Still Winter here, but this tree perhaps a sign of Spring.

Those vines always seem to defy Old Man Winter - they must just go into hibernation and then continue their climb when spring rolls around.
