sweet treat from a postcard

this is a pic postcard from my home state of Michigan. when one travels "Up north"
"the Upper Penninsula- One will discover a resort getaway from it all.. called Mackinac Island. They are known for their incredible homemade fudge made on a slab of marble stone. The Island has year-round residents, but the ferry does not run during winter months.

I guess that the year-round residents hope for enough ice to allow for a winter road. Probably not going to happen this year!
