Modern face of pittoresque harbour town

Stavoren is an old and beautiful harbour town in the north of Holland. Directly facing the IJssel Lake (IJsselmeer) they got permission to build this (and there are more!) totally misplaced house in the left side of this pic. Such a pity...

Does seem very strange. I like the other houses though but feel for the owners if they have to look out over the stand alone one.
