I took this picture at work from the outside looking at the reflection of the flag in the glass wall. Today is Memorial Day in the USA. We are all remembering those who gave their lives for their country. It is a day off work which is what most people think of it as and I have to admit, I am right there with them. I slept til almost 7AM today and am being very lazy. (My dog was at my side at 5AM telling me to get up but I had no trouble going back to sleep).
This is beautiful, Suzie...lovely picture and image!
Glad you liked my photo...Feltzen South peninsula looks straight across at Lunenburg and Blue Rocks...Are you familiar with The Ovens? You come to that park, and the road turns there and the rest of the road is FS. I can understand how you wouldn't know all the land area...there's so much! When we've sailed with a friend of ours, I'm nearly always lost as soon as we're out of the yacht club!
Great shot Suzie. I had a similar lazy day and got the energy to visit a veterans cemetery in the late afternoon. I have never done this before, but it was a great experience. On my way I had to make a bathroom detour and found a bookstore at a mall just outside the cemetery. It was buzzing with people shopping Memorial Day sales. I was in and out in 5 minutes and headed across the way to the cemetery. It was peacefully quiet with very little traffic. I couldn't stop thinking how the mall goers are were missing out on a moving experience.
Glad the dog allowed you to go back to sleep :-) Love the clarity of this photo and also that you chose to post something special for Memorial Day. God Bless America!

The reflection makes it a wonderful picture!
