We took our Seattle friends to Middleton Plantation. We had never been there either so it was new to all of us. It was just fantastic! My camera just couldn't even do it justice. (of course the operator isn't very good!) But here is one that turned out. I will post a couple more too. You can see the spanish moss hanging down in front of me. The moss is very hard to capture.
Oh, hush you! There's nothing wrong with the talent behind that camera of yours! This shot came out great! I always find it hard to really capture large outdoor views like this, since the lens compresses distance and flattens the view.
The plantations down there have been kept up so beautifully. How wonderful to get in some sightseeing with your friends and enjoy it as a visitor for the first time yourself!
You asked if Dill tires of me photographing him...yah, probably. He indulges me just enough to keep me trying for "just one more". He's a well-photographed cat...
I just forwarded your email to B&D and asked if they'd make the hors d'oeuvres when you come for a visit :-) Billy follows many of the same people I do, so I know he knows who you are. I've tried to talk him into posting pictures on 365, but he's busy with so many things, I told him I'd stop nagging!

So when are you planning to come back up?!
