Wine Time

I had all the gals to my house last night for Wine Time and took this picture before everyone arrived. We had a blast and now I am tired!
neat perspective Suzie :)

The light is perfect.. can't make out if you poured the wine yet??? so I can't say love the bubbles but it sure looks like bubbles.

How beautiful. I love the colors and reflections in the glass. It would be fun to put some colored ornaments in the glasses and do this shot. Oops. Maybe I should keep some ideas to myself! lol

Re: try a self-portrait in sunlight, it seems to be the most forgiving (for me anyways!)

Re: Only if you forget your sunblock, lol. I don't think it does, it's natural light. I shot that photo in my bedroom in full morning sun with a grid in front of my face, did the contrast in Picnik, and then a cross-process. I get what you're saying, I'm 46 and looking at yourself that close is kind of daunting, but give that photo processing a try and see how you like it. I also wore some make-up, which I don't usually wear, but it made the photo contrast look better as well. I usually wash out because I have light skin and eyelashes.

Oh, goodness, Suzie, I just looked at your profile photo--you have nothing to worry about. Your skin is gorgeous and I'll bet you take an awesome photo.

That Cross-Process (for Picnik) is the one under the "Advanced" settings--you can adjust the colours a bit better. What program do you use?
September 12th, 2010
I use Picnik for everything--that's about all I have the patience for! I have PhotoShop too, but it frustrates me, though I keep saying some day I'll master it. I have an 18-55mm lens too. You soooo don't look 64--you must be doing something right!
