Big Red Truck

We had excitement in the neighborhood again this week. I was half a mile away when I heard the sirens and knew they were too close to my house for comfort - and I as walking. I think I almost killed myself walking so fast! I wanted to run but knew I was too old for that silliness. I slowed down when I could finally see the trucks and they were not at my house! It turned out to be a grass fire caused by a transformer blowing - caused by a squirrel jumping on the transformer!
Doesn't that give you a terrible feeling?

I have to think the story didn't end well for that poor squirrel! Glad to hear all was well in the rest of the neighborhood!

Thank goodness it wasn't anything more serious. The bright red firetrucks make for a pretty photo, though.

That's a scary feeling for sure. Been there, done that. But you got a good picture of the fire trucks!

Your heart must have just sank when you thought that they might be at your house. I'm glad it just turned out to be a grass fire, although I do feel bad for the poor cooked squirrel.
